In September, I was pronounced to have prostate cancer. This came from out of the blue, subsequent to a routine medical exam which yielded a very high PSA test score. Additional tests in September and throughout October revealed major complications with spread to pubic bone and lungs. The doctors are emphasizing that this is a very serious condition, a.k.a. “stage 4 d2.”
I am being as aggressive and thorough as possible with my responses both allopathic and alternative. I am very receptive to input about strategies, and have been quite busy with research. I continue to feel well and I think my efforts are working. My PSA number dropped from 266 in early September to 91 in mid-October and to 1.4 on Nov. 23. A second chest x-ray Nov. 23 found that the lung problems have regressed since the Oct. 21 test.
It is not clear to me what my condition means for my upcoming schedule. I am highly mobilized with a host of therapeutic strategies, and I am finding that these take time every day particularly when I have treatment appointments. Also I may have to deal with side effects from some of the treatments. Anna will be leading the craniosacral class as normal, and I will need to see what happens as I go along. I intend to participate and support Anna as much as possible in addition to continuing my normal administrative role. I may be less available for sessions.

I expect there will be time when I am preoccupied with the situation, so please don’t take it personally if sometimes I have a tendency toward brevity.
